The Tip Of My Middle Finger On My Right Hand

The tip of my middle finger on my right hand is painful. It is sensitive , slightly swollen, and difficult to bend at the first joint. I have had it happen a few times before and then it went away. But it just happens- I have not banged it so no trauma to make it feel so sore. Thanks.
