There is a full-thickness tear of the infraspinatus tendon 3cm proximal to its insertion, with 4cm of retraction of the proximal end of the tendon.Mild increased signal and thickening ofthe infraspinatus and supraspinatus tendons are consistent with tendinopathy. The subscapularis tendon appears normal. No fluid is present in the subacromial-subdeitoid bursa. There is no atroophy of the rotator cuff muscles. The long head biceps tendon is intaact and is normal in position.
