There Is An Issue I Am Trying To Understand Maybe

There is an issue I am trying to understand maybe you may assist me with ideas. My wife was pregnant at 40 weeks 5 days. The doctor indicated she gets induced because the placenta was old. They gave her tablets 3 times - 4 hours spaced but each time the pains would come for some few hours then stopped. Today the doctor suggested if she does not get into labor by tomorrow latest then they do C-Section. What are our options, any advice. Your valued input is very much appreciated.
