There's A Large, Probably 1 Inch Long By .5 Inch

There's a large, probably 1 inch long by .5 inch wide knot on the upper shaft of my penis. It doesn't hurt, but has been there about 6 months and gets worse when aroused. During the same time frame I've had trouble getting and staying erect. Could this be a ruptured blood vessel?
