This Afternoon I Felt Like I Was Seeing Cross Eyed.

This afternoon I felt like I was seeing cross eyed. It seems that it was more my left eye than my right. I am a type 2 diabetic. My numbers are under control with medication, exercise, I swim 3 miles a day 5 days a week and diet. I recently tried wearing contact lens but have had some difficulty in my left eye so have not worn them for the past 2 days. I am 66 and weigh 180 lbs. this has only happened one time. Should I see my eye doctor?
