This Concerns My Dog So This Is ANIMAL HEALTH Related.

This concerns my dog so this is ANIMAL HEALTH related.
My question is: Which is better for the treatment of Enterococcus -Amoxicillin OR Clavamox?
The dog is a senior female. She's had four UTI's in the past year (not before that): two about a year ago and two recently. E-coli in a recent UTI was treated with Cephalexin after using Simplicef that didn't work for unknown reasons. We recently cultured and found the E-coli gone but a new bacteria -Enterococcus was found. One vet suggested Amoxicillin and the other suggested Clavamox. I understand that Clavamox is Augmentin and is Amoxicillin with clavulanic acid. THANK YOU
