This Evening, As I Was Bending Over To Pick Something
This evening, as I was bending over to pick something up (off the back of the toilet), I twisted and something in my back pinched. I fell to the floor and now cannot move properly. I am in excruciating pain and can barely scoot my body on the floor. My abdomen feels like it was punched very hard and my lower back is jabbing with pain. I can't cough or sneeze without screaming in agony.
A couple of decades ago I was in a major automobile accident (fell off an overpass - between 45'-60'). I spent a long time in a wheelchair while going through rehab...I'm wondering if I may have a sudden cauda equina?? What should I do? I can't sit up or stand. I am afraid an Emergency Room will be ill-equipped to deal with the complexity of my issue --- I don't want pain medication. I NEED HELP with this immobility.
