This Is Odd - I Am A Moderate Drinker But

This is odd - I am a moderate drinker but this happens if I have a drink after a few days of not drinking. The area around my eyes becomes very flushed and red and warm to the touch. I have been calling this raccoon eyes. lol It goes away within and hour or so - more quickly if I splash cold water or put a cold wash clothe over my eyes for a bit. Any thoughts?
