This May Sound Strange But I'm A 47 Healthy Woman

This may sound strange but I'm a 47 healthy woman that had a full hysterectomy a few years ago. All my life when I would get my period I would see some of the menstrul blood in my stool. I recently started using hormonal cream for dryness and I now see the cream in my stool. I can't understand why. Is this normal? No doctor has ever mentioned my vagina and anus being connected internally in any way. So you have any idea what going on?
