This Morning I Had What Felt Like A Back Spasm

This morning I had what felt like a back spasm or cramp between my right middle shoulder blade and spine, the pain moved to the upper right quadrants of my chest...hurt enough to break into a sweat...scared me at first but within minutes it was gone.....I'm 50, adopted with no medical history....could this be a heart thing or something else?
