This study https://www.dovepress.com/efficacy-of-the-anti-vzv-anti-hsv3-vaccine-in-hsv1-and-hsv2-recurrent--peer-reviewed-article-OAJCT says 25 people who got VZV vaccine had zero recurrences over 6 years.
The study PDF - file:///C:/Users/shash/Downloads/OAJCT-33292-efficacy-of-the-anti-vzv--hsv3--vaccine-in-the-treatment-of-_072712.pdf
"Results: From 2005 through 2011, for the 24 anti-VZV vaccinated patients, the average number
of herpes relapses decreased to 0, correlated with an increased anti-VZV antibody level and
clinical recovery of all patients, whereas no improvement was observed for the 26 nonvaccinated
herpes patients."
And this has been discussed on Reddit Herpes subreddit - https://www.reddit.com/r/sex/comments/2hdqdr/chickenpox_vaccine_shown_to_reduce_herpes_1_2/
Patient forums discussion 2 months ago and one guy here says he got the vaccine and did not have cold sores anymore -
http://patient.info/forums/discuss/can-chicken-pox-vaccine-cure-hsv1-hsv2--546309.
And also very recently here - https://honeycomb.click/topic/67969-efficacy-of-the-anti-vzv-vaccine-in-hsv1-and-hsv2-recurrent-herpes-simplex-disease-a-prospective-study/. ( and here 3 people with HSV2 got the vaccine but saw no improvement)
So in the above study also has more oral HSV1 herpes, but definitely it is something to look at, I am wondering if anyone can reach out to University of Paris where this study was done and if any further development is available in this regard. Also, if experts and other members who may have got this vaccine.
I would like to take a shot of the vaccine, is their any side effect to this? Also, I don't mind updating my status for next 1 year after this vaccine. If others who want to volunteer with this vaccine, then we can start a new thread and follow up all our statuses and results. I can consolidate in a tabular format. It could be an informal study if we have anough volunteers. thx
