Three Broken Ribs, Made To Work And Still Hurting After

Three broken ribs, made to work and still hurting after 5 months. Did working possibly cause problems in healing? Fell at work in school cafeteria, but did not go to doctor although they wrote up accident report. Went to DR 3 weeks later, they found one broke rib. Followed up in more 30 days they said it was starting to heal. Went back to DR 6 weeks later advised them I was still hurting, they x-rayed again and said, oh..their were 3 ribs broke but they are healing..
