Three Weeks Ago I Thought I Was Getting A Sinus

Three weeks ago I thought I was getting a sinus cold. I woke up and my sinuses were stinging so bad that it mas making my eyes water and my nose was draining but drainage was clear. This went on for several days but then my throat started hurting aroung my glands and it was affecting my ears. My body was very achey mostly in back. After two weeks I went to my doctor and they did a strep and a mono test and they both came back clean. The did a CBC and my white blood cell count was elevated and my nutrifill levels were off. they had me come in the next day and did a Chest Xray, Urine and blood culture annd all came back clear. I am now three weeks in and I am still experiencing a sore throat. I have developed a small cough but non productive and most of the discomfort is mainly in gland area and ears. the discomfort seems to be worse at night and in the morning when I wake up. What could be causing this and why can't my doctor figure this out?
