Three Weeks Ago I Woke Up And The Back Of

Three weeks ago I woke up and the back of my hand was numb only to the touch but I had full function. It lasted quite a while so I had it checked out at urgent care. Basically he said go see your doctor. Can't find anything wrong. Now I realize that certain muscles are now numb to massage. The skin feels but the muscles aren't. Currently the top of my ears (cartridge) and a small portion above it is numb to the touch. What can this be?
