Thyroid ultrasound was performed. The right lobe measures 5.5 cm in
length x 2.7 cm x 2.4 cm, left lobe Measures 5.0 cm in length x 2.6 cm x 2.3 and the
isthmus measures cm0.6 in thickness.
In the midpole of the right thyroid lobe is a 1.6 x 1.2 cm solid, isoechoic nodule. In the lower pole is a 1.3 x 1.0 cm heterogeneous, solid nodule. In the lower pole is a 1.0x 0.9 cm heterogeneous solid nodule. In the midpole is a 0.7 cm cyst.
In the midpole of the left thyroid lobe is a 1.2 x 0.8 cm solid, heterogeneous nodule. In the lower pole is a 0.9 cm similar nodule. In the lower pole is a 1.7 x 0.8 cm Similar module. In the lower pole is a I.5x1.2 cm similar nodule.
Diffusely enlarged thyroid gland With discrete nonspecific solid nodules bilaterally as described. Dominant nodules are amenable to ultrasound-guided fine-needle aspiration.
