Today I Started Peeing Every Hour, And By Late Afternoon,

Today I started peeing every hour, and by late afternoon, excruciating pain after urination and pale blood when wiping. I had a urinary tract infection in April...and symptoms were very similar. I was prescribed Norfloxacin then..........being Sunday evening, and not being able to reach my physician I took a 500 mg clarithromycin tablet. ( I had the script on hand ...filled 8 weeks ago as I was travelling out of town and had sore throat...so as a precaution took the script with..but never had to use it as throat proved to be viral.
It's been 4 hours since I took the pill....symptoms have not changed noticably....does it require a second dose before I get some relief...or is this the wrong antibiotic?
