Took Recent Flight Round Trip From Los Angeles To Hawaii

Took recent flight round trip from Los Angeles to Hawaii about a 5 hour flight. I have asthma, see my doctor regularly and felt fine before flight. I use advair, Ventolin, Zyrtec and Singulair. Flew before with no problems. After one flight had to use inhaler after wakking through airport I could not catch my breath and was gasping for air. Before boarding return flight I took Ventolin as a precaution. After return fight walking through airport I nearly fainted and had shortness of breath. No further problems since then. I will be fying more often due to new job is there something I can due to prevent this from happening?
