Two Days Ago I Noticed A Dry Patch Of Skin

Two days ago I noticed a dry patch of skin on the shaft and under the head of my penis. Yesterday the dry skin flaked away to reveal raw skin underneath that is very sensitive, and still hasn't properly healed. As far as I can tell I don't think it's an STD but should I be concerned?
