Was Cleaning My Daughter's Ears Earlier This Evening And She

Was cleaning my daughter's ears earlier this evening and she moved and the qtip went in a little further than I would have done. She winced and said ouch then stuck her finger in get ear to rub it. Did one last gentle swipe with the qtip and when I pulled it out there was a drop of blood on the end. Worried about the eardrum. Could it have ruptured?
