We Have A Patient That Has No Drug Coverage With

We have a patient that has no drug coverage with his Medicare. He was not on any prescription meds until now. The GI MD I work for would like him to start using Melsalamine Enemas nightly. They are rather expensive and there doesn't seem to be a patient assistace program for this. The Canasa supppositories were even more expensive and he did not qualify for their program. Any suggeestions? Thank you. KB
