Welcome to 'Ask a Doctor'. Please type your quesHi, so I'd like a second opinion on the possible diagnosis of juvenile arthritis or rheumatoid arthritis. Two and a half ish years ago I injured my left foot and was told I had torn the ligaments. I spent 6-7 months on crutches and with physiotherapy I was back to normal. Almost a year ago I injured the same foot and had all of the exact same symptoms of it being cold and swollen all the time and unable to put weight and pressure on it. I got it checked again on Tuesday and was told my ankle and foot bones look twice my age, I'm 19, and that I could have juvenile or rheumatoid arthritis. I feel like this could be a wrong diagnosis because I dont have stiffness in the foot its more pain, pressure and resistance. I have no pain elsewhere on my body. Walking and movement actually gives me pain and I find when I rest and elevate my foot, the swelling and pain will go. I also had quite bad vitamin d deficiency a few years ago and once i finished the medication prescribed at the time I was never checked to see if I was no longer deficient.
The only symptoms that I guess I could have of Arthritis is that I click often and I've been suffering from headaches for the past four years. I found out I have a cavernoma but was told this wasn't the cause of my headaches.tion here...
