Well Earlier I Took An Aleve, Without Water, And I

Well earlier I took an aleve, without water, and I could still feel it in my throat. A burning sensation followed after that, and a few min later I tried swallowing it more with water. Is the pill still suck in my throat or am I feeling phantom pains the incident when I swallow anything?
