What Are Bird Mites. I Have A Cherokee Bird That

What are bird mites. I have a Cherokee bird that I've had for about two years and me and y son is getting bite by something unseen. some thing is in our head on our leg, arms, back, feels like its in my bed. sometimes even feels like something is crawlin in my but. What is going on. I'm a very clean person. I'm contantly swiping my floors and moping. but something is always biteing us or crawling or something. I can swipe my leg or arm or comb through my hair and I'll see these little black specks in no bug form. What the hell is going on? Please help! It's making me paranoid
