What Are The Black Mole Like Spots On My Scrotum?

Hi, may I answer your health queries right n. I have quite a few dark brown to black small mole like appearances on the surface of the skin of my scrotum, mostly on the right side. They do not itch and are not painful, just wondering what they are and possibly what causes them?
