What Are The Chances Of Pregnancy After Sex On Ovulation Dates?

Hello doctor..... M 29 n had sex on ovulation date that is on 23 of dec..... My next period was on 6 jan 2015 but still i did not get period.... So today i used prega news kit but it is negative... I want to get pregnant ... So sould i check it after 2 days ....and can i expect to get positive result
