What Are The Chances Of Recurrence Of Throat Cancer?

I have a friend that had stage 4 throat cancer 5 years ago...I know he had Chemo ...Don't know what else...He is over the 5 year mark now...Will this Cancer come back somewhere else in years to come...Dr said he is clear....He gets check ups every 6 months now...Thank you
