What Are The Complications Of Sistrunk Procedure For Thyroglossal Cyst?

I'm scheduled to have a Sistrunk procedure next week for removal of a thyroglossal cyst that suddenly developed in the past 2 days. I'm 40 years old and have no past medical history. I'm scared because the surgeon will be removing my hyoid bone. Have you heard of any complications s/p hyoid bone removal? I don't care about scarring. I just don't want to have mastication issues, sagging neck skin, etc.
