What Are The Consequences Of Delaying The Intake Birth Control Tri Sprintec?

I have been on the birth control tri sprintec 28 for 8 months . I have taken my pill consistently and never missed one . Recently I started my new pack of pills and during the 3rd day of my first week I lost the pill . later on i contacted a pharmacy and they told me to take the next days pill so i did but it was six hours later than my normal time i take my pill . am i still protected ? is a backup method needed?
