What Are The Normal Levels Of Lactulose In A Person With Liver Disease?

My wife has liver disease, the other I had to rush her to emergency because of very bad confusion. She is supposed to take lactulose but failed to take it for weeks. After testing her blood it was still at 47 on her ammonia level. Even after taking a dosage. My question is, what is a good range to be at? On a side note she now doesn t miss a dosage. Thanks.
