What Are The Side Effects Of Implanon IUD?

I just got the implanon contraceptive implant after giving birth 8 weeks ago. I have always had a low libido and irregular periods and it has been suggested to me that I try using maca powder supplements (such as macasure) to help enhance my sex drive. During pregnancy my sex drive was nearly non-existent, we haven't had sex since September 2010, and I want to restore my libido. Would this conflict with the effects of my birth control?
