What Are The Side Effects Of Valtrex Taken For Herpes?

Ive been taking valtrex for herpes. Been diagnosed since 1996. was on it years ago could not tolerate side effects, headaches body aches, etc. Was on ayclovir, was ok for decade or so, but episodes increased. was also on famvir, episodes increased. I stopped valtrex one week now, headaches, myalgias, confusion, depression also gone. Also noticed that I was getting hair loss. I'm 51 no other other med issues, was on 500 mg once a day, increased when symptomatic. Now what? Just got off w MD gonna just take for symptoms either valtrex or famvir. Or nothing and just deal w symptoms. Worried about long term toxicity, kidney and liver damage although rare reported. Take lysine, cut down on alcohol, exercise regularly etc and all other recommendations.
