What Are The Side Effects Of Inhaling Plastic Fumes?

I was sterilizing a lice comb and several other plastic combs in a boiling pot of water and forgot about it. I woke up to a VERY smokey house and in the pot the combs had disinigrated. I immedIately removed the pot from the stove and placed outside. I opened the front door and the garage door and let the house air out. I boiled vinegar in another pot and took that off the burner and placed other bowls of vinegar and bread around the house to remove the odor. My nose no longer burns but you can still smell a faint smell of I think plastic. Is it okay to remain in the house? I have a 5 yr old and a dog and I can t go back to sleep now!!
