What Are The Side Effects Of Skipping Birth Control Pill?

I had sex last night and then forgot to take my pill this morning. I have taken it now (aprox 14 hrs late) and I was wondering if this means that I have a chance of falling pregnant. I don't intend on having sex for the next 7 days, but do I need emergency contraception?
