What are the signs/symptoms of detached retina?
My husband 65 yom, hx of HTN, High cholesterol, had a sudden onset of a visual disturbance in L eye approx 50 mins ago. "hairy-like filaments floating about", denies headache, denies N, V, denies CP, no hx of this type of event previously, R eye clear, equal grips, no dizziness, initial P-73 and BP 135/93. Nothing to note visually, like a burst blood vessel in sclera, etc. Meds: HCTZ, losartan, atenolol, amlodipine. Sleeps with CPAP for sleep apnea. No other pain reported, gave 4 baby ASA (OTC).
