What Are The Small Bruises On My Cheek Bones?

I have two small bruises under my left and right eyes located right on my cheekbones. They hurt to the touch and i do not know how they got there. I have not had any physical trauma to my face/eye region. However last night i was sick and threw up. It looks like i got clocked in the face, what are these? how did they get there? is this cause for concern?
