What Are The Symptoms Of Genital Herpes?

I am not sure if what I am experiencing are ingrown hairs, or genital herpes. I first started experiencing the red bumps around september, just around a month and a week after my last sexual relation. I did not think anything of the large pimple like sores on my buttocks and bellow my belly button. Throughout the year, I have been experiencing sores. Currently I have red bumps in the area my just below my belly button, where the beltline of my boxers press consistently, as well as on my buttocks. None of the sores are too closesly clustered together, but spaced about half an inch apart. I have had the sores on my stomach for around a month now, and do not remember the last time my buttocks was clear. If popped, both areas blister around where the puss or blood was released. I have a very hairy stomach that I shave about once every three months, but no hair on my buttocks whatsoever. I have never had a sore on my penis, only in these two areas. I am very active athletically and workout, run, play basketball or football every day. I also sweat very easily. Please help me to understand if what I am experiencing is herpes or just ingrown hairs. Thank you.
