I am aged 59, Asian, female. I had an episode of strong chest pain, light headed, nausea and out of breath at around 12:30 yesterday. The strong pain lasted for about 10 minutes, became milder, accompanied by some neck stiffness. After about an hour of this my husband came home and suggested that I call the health line. The nurse there took down my symptoms and referred me to a doctor who decided that I should go to a hospital by ambulance. All tests done at the hospital showed negative to a heart attack, and the various medication they gave me made me feel more comfortable so I was allowed to go home with a note to my doctor. I have had these problems several times before and after rest, I felt better. However this time I woke up still with the mild chest pain I went to bed with. It is now 7 am on Sunday, 12 hours after I was discharged from hospital. The doctor at the hospital did say that I should come back if I did not feel better. I think I felt better now than yesterday afternoon, currently lying comfortably in bed after a sleep but the chest pressure and lightheadedness slightly nauseous feeling etc are still there. My question is whether my symptoms are warnings of an imminent heart attack and I should present my self at a hospital, or are they more likely indicative of something non emergency and I can wait until tomorrow to see my own doctor? Many thanks and regards Hong
