What Are The Symptoms To Be Noted While Having Positive HSV?

I recently went to the Gyn...and had HSV test done. It came back positive for HSV 1 and 2. But not active at this time. I have never had a cold sore in my life. I did have a suspicious area, that may have even been a razor cut but I wanted to confirm. That culture came back negative but I started on Valtrex and after the first dose....and some weeks, I decided to take it daily to prevent any outbreaks, instead of waiting for one to occur as I am dating someone. My question is....is it possible for someone to have postive antibodies but never show symptoms?
