What Can I Do About A Severe Case Of Hives?

I recently began taking interesting. After approximately five days I developed a severe case of hives. Since my doctor is unavailable, I contacted my pharmacists, explained it was a new med and relayed my symptoms. He told me to stop taking the med and contact my doctor s office, which I have done. I am taking benadryl and hope it will help. What meds will be supplemented?
