What Can I Do About A Swollen And Pulsating Finger

What can I do about a swollen and pulsating finger pricked by a garden thorn. Not a rose, likely a dead plant I weeded that had a sharp point. We pulled out the pricker (perhaps only part) with a tweezer a few days ago, but it is red and swollen now.
