What Can Be The Reason For Sudden Bleeding And Cramps?

Hello- I have not had a period in at least 3-4 years. I am 42 years of age and suffer from systemic lupus, fibromyalgia, rheumatoid and psoriactic arthritis, as well as migraine headaches. About 2 hours ago I went to bathroom and found blood in my panties and when I wiped all over toilet paper. My mom called my aunt who is an RN and told me to lay down and prop my legs as high on pillows as I could stand. The cramping has subsided and the bleeding has slowed slightly. I take many medications due to my disease- predisone, folic acid, methotrexiate, topamax, diazpem, relpax(as needed for migraines), provigil(to offset side effects of pain pump), percocet (max of 4 per day to knock out extra bad pain), phenegren. I have had a papin pump for about 4 years in which cord wraps around right side and goes directly into my spinal cord as I get a continous dose of morephine to help control my chronic pain and help with better quality of life. My diet is NOT very good as I had my stomach stapled in 1992 and lost around 120 pounds. After marriage, baby, and divorce I gained fifty pounds back, but lost down to 118 pounds after a that bad divorce in 2004. I gained back up to 155 but I lost back down to 125 a few months ago. My daddy passed away last October after a 5 week battle in CCU- He was my everything- He was my mother and sisters' everything-He was grandaddy, daddy, friend, play buddy for my 10 year old daughter as she has no contact with her father. I was very close to my daddy(often said I was his favorite) -I do not know about being his favorite but we had a special bond- I was the first born and a high achiver just like he was. I am so lost without him! So I lost down to that 125 rather quickly due to stress, depression, etc. I have gained back to that 150 pound level, but my weight does fluctuate quite a bit. (5-10 pounds) I married in 1999 at age of 30 and because my now ex-husband was 20 years my senior, we got pregnant via invetro-fertilization. I had a very difficult pregnancy- at 8 weeks my body tried to miscarry. I was put on bed rest at that time for entire pregnancy. At 3 months we thought I had miscarried due to the amount of bleeding and the fact my sister who is an RN looked at what I passed when I went to the toilet- it was the sack that the fetus is surrounded by- We called hospital and was met by our ob/gyn, who was quite positive I in fact had lost the baby. He did a sonogram and almost passed out when he saw a baby on the monitor! He explained that I had been carrying twins and we just did not know because of how early it was and that I in fact had miscarried-he went on to explain that the baby I miscarried was just not a viable healthy baby. I continued to have trouble and went into pre-mature labor several times but medication and very good care from my team of doctors helped us to make it to seven months at which time she was delivered by c-section due to her being in stress and non activity. Madeline was in NICU for 5 weeks- her primary problem was just having to gain weight(Birth weight was 3.5 pounds) and what my rheumatologist feared came to pass 6 weeks after Maddie was born- the lupus and other problems reared their ugly heads and have yet to go into remission. But I am so fortunate to have a perfectly healthy, beautiful daughter. My dad swears that the last can of Ensure he got me to drink before she was born hekped get her weight to where it was! Sorrry for the long story but felt you needed to know my past important medical history. I greatly appreciate you taking the time to answer this question/problem. I also had one of the worst migraines I have had in quite awile just 3 days ago- I would almost always have one when I would get my period. Also, I have just been very agitated and "jumpy" this past week. My mom had very bad periods and went thru "the change" at about the age I am now-42- I really think/hope this is what I am beginning.
