What Can Be The Side Effects Of Using Retention Enema ?

I was taking 20mg as a retention enema and 2 mg orally for 3 weeks however I had tapered down to 10 mg orally, stopped the retention enema for 1 week then 5mg. Now I am going through some withdrawal symtoms. I was told by my Doctor that I should do back to 10mg because I had tapered too quickly on dosage. But I am still feeling the side effects. How long would I continue to feel this way?
