What Can Cause A Discolored Dent On Arm?

over the past 3-4 months my daughter developed an indentation about the size of a half dollar on the outside of her upper arm. Skin in this area appears slightly discolored. She has had no injuries or injections. What could it be. It seems to be getting worse. She has no pain
