What Can Treat Swelling From Foot Injury And Edema?

I have a foot injury and have edema. My foot and ankle are very swollen. I saw a doctor 2 days ago and have been given antibiotics and stuff to redressing the wound but am meant to fly from UK to Australia in 3 days.
