What can you tell me about herniated eye. what is the surgical intervention? My granddaughter age 26 has bags under her eyes. She went to ophthalmologist who informed her she had herniated eye and recommended surgery. I am concerned as I am not familiar with this dx. I am well aware of the different types of herniations i.e.,
disks, inguinal, hiatal etc. However, the eye herniation is completely new.
