What Cause Choking Sensation In Throat While Eating?

When I eat I tend from time to time to choke on my food and not to long ago I ate some chicken and a small piece got stuck down my thoat I could not shollaw too well I try everything from water to cola I finally drank alittle olive oil and it went down why is this happening
