What Cause Pain, Itching And Swollen Feeling In Palm?

Over the last 3 weeks I have noticed my right hand (palm side) is aching and at time feels itching, almost like it's getting too hot. My left hand has started feeling the same in the last few days. The symptons started with my hands feeling 'fat' but they don't look visibilty swollen, and I can't liken it to the feeling of swelling (I had this during pregnancy and it's a different feeling). I'm finding it difficult to do small movements e.g plat my daughters hair and holding things like a cup or open bottles, it's a lot more effort. I am aware of my hands all the time (I know that sounds odd)! I'm 33 female and in good health.
