What Cause Painful Lower Back And Legs With History Of Ankle Injury?

the lower part of my back has been hurting since right before Christmas, now when I get up I can hardly stand up straight until I walk around. It's hard for me to bend over, put on my socks and take a shower and wash myself is a job. Along with my back hurting my legs are also hurting, what could be wrong with me? I did fall in the yard on Sept 30, 2014 and broke my ankle, could I have hurt my back and just didn't know it until now? I do have a very high tolerance for pain but this is getting to be to much. Thank you
