What Cause Vaginal Itching?

My vagina itches kinda bad on and off. It will stop for awhile untill i go to the bathroom and wipe,Then it starts to itch again.I've been drinking alot of water to maybe just wash the infection out(if it is one)..,Its been going on fro 2 days. Anything will help.I also wanted to know if it was a yeats infection?
