What Causes A Brown Spot At The End Of The Eyebrow?

My age is almost 56 yrs., my height is 5 ft 9 inches, and my weight right now is about 174 lbs, and I am female. I made an appt. for a dermatoligist for July 8th. I have a brown spot at the end of my eyebrow that keeps getting bigger and I think it is a little raised. The last 7 days or so I have a red circle on my lower face that itches off and on and it gets more red for quite a while after my shower and when I put some cream on it today. The cream did help the itching.I was just curious what the 2 issues are?
